More about the machine type

Telehandler

A telehandler, also known as a telescopic handler, is an off-road machine suitable for moving heavy materials, combining the lifting and movement capabilities of a forklift and a crane.
With the help of countless attachements that can be mounted on the end of the boom, the telehandler is the ‘Swiss Army knife’ of a construction site for material handling and high-level loading!
  • It has excellent off-road capability, and can transport materials on a worksite at speeds of up to 25 km/h.
  • It can lift materials even without outriggers.
  • Its lifting capabilities can be significantly increased when used with outriggers.

5 Typical Applications

  • Moving heavy loads: With telescopic handlers, moving heavy materials from A to B quickly (at speeds of up to 25 km/h) and precisely is effortless. With various attachments, different materials can be moved, for example, palletized goods with forks, or loads can be lifted like a crane with a winch, etc…
  • High-level load placement: Telehandlers can reach what a forklift cannot. We can safely and quickly place materials in high places. We drive to the worksite, deploy the outriggers within a minute, and can immediately lift the load upwards and sideways. All this without needing to use an expensive crane.
  • Site cleanup: When starting and finishing work, cleaning the area of materials and debris on site requires significant effort. This task can be easily and quickly accomplished with a fork or bucket attachement, requiring minimal human resources.
  • Work at height: With a work platform attachment, high-level locations can be accessed for work.
  • Forestry applications: High-level tree care, felling, pruning, and cutting can be mechanized quickly, efficiently, and with minimal human resources.

Typical Application Areas:

  • Construction industry
  • Industry and manufacturing
  • Agriculture
  • Mining

Attachments:

  • Forks
  • Winch with hook for craning
  • Crane hook
  • Bucket
  • Work platform
  • Glass handler
  • Heavy tire handler
  • Bale clamp
  • Paper roll clamp
  • Pole grab
  • Forestry adapter
  • etc…

Telehandler Features:

  • Excellent off-road capability: four-wheel drive and steering (!), climbing ability of over 50%
  • Boom functions: raising the boom from horizontal to near vertical, extending the telescopic arm, tilting the attachement.
  • Precise movement, high load capacity: with pre-set speeds per function AND proportional control, we can easily move heavy loads quickly or precisely.
  • Simultaneous operation of multiple functions: thanks to the significant available power and sophisticated control, multiple functions can be operated simultaneously.
  • Used on wheels or outriggers: it can transport and lift loads even without using outriggers, on wheels. Its lifting capabilities can be significantly increased when used with outriggers.
  • Chassis leveling for travel
  • Cabin: adjustable seat, heated-cooled cabin, pressurized cabin with dust filter, cabin protected from falling objects for the operator’s safety and comfort
  • Integrated operation: thanks to various sensors and sophisticated control, the machine only allows lifting up to the load capacity appropriate for its current state.
  • Power source: powerful and economical EURO5 diesel engine

Differences between Rotating and Fixed Telehandlers:

Telehandler (Rotating) (MAGNI RTH Machines)

The upper boom of rotating/turntable telescopic handlers can be rotated 360 degrees relative to the chassis.
Furthermore, the boom’s lifting angle and telescopic extension can also be adjusted, allowing anything within a hemispherical area to be reached with the boom without repositioning.

Advantages:

  • Rotates 360 degrees, reaching anything within a hemispherical area

  • 4 outriggers, with adjustable extension if there is not enough space.

Telehandler (Fixed) (MAGNI TH Machines)

The lifting angle of the boom and the telescopic extension of fixed telescopic handlers can be adjusted.

Advantages:

  • Lower center of gravity

  • Lower unladen weight

  • Simpler machine, lower maintenance requirements

Why Choose Us?

A personnel lift enables the safe and efficient elevation of workers, along with necessary tools and materials. For heights exceeding 5 meters, it is the safest and most efficient solution, as it eliminates the need for manual material handling and constant climbing. A self-propelled work platform allows for faster, safer work compared to built scaffolding or inadequate temporary solutions.

We only release machines from our facility that have been thoroughly inspected and are in perfect technical condition, as safety is paramount—people work with them at height. All our rental and sold machines come with the operating instructions and CE certification required by law, and our rental machines include the necessary inspection reports. We perform all checks on every lift before release.

We only offer reliable machines that provide good value for money, and we always recommend a technically suitable piece of equipment that precisely meets your needs – never an unnecessarily larger one, nor one that is technically unsuitable. You can easily determine which machine is right for you based on the technical data and descriptions available on manlift.hu. Should you require further assistance, we are naturally happy to provide additional information via email, phone, or in person.

Since its establishment in 2000, MANLIFT has been dedicated to serving its clients with high standards, quickly and flexibly, and without unnecessary bureaucracy. Our work focuses on understanding clients’ real needs and serving them precisely and efficiently, whether for rental or purchase. We strive to be a reliable partner in every collaboration, supporting our clients’ success.
